How it started
TranscriptsNow was started by Emma Hitt PhD in 2007. A long-time medical writer, Dr. Hitt had difficulty
finding a transcribing service that was reasonably priced and had the
high level of expertise needed to transcribe her audio recordings. She
thought other medical writers might have the same problem (turns out they
did), so she started TranscriptsNow.
The day-to-day operations of TranscriptsNow are managed by Lindy Husney, BBA, a certified medical transcriber, and we have numerous highly qualified, experienced transcribers on hand to work on recordings as they come in. We are fast, reliable and produce extremely high quality transcripts to your specifications.
Unlike most medical transcribing services, we don't transcribe patient and doctor notes for clinics and hospitals, which, frankly, don't require as much skill. You can rely on our quality and knowledge of medical terminology. We are US-based and gravitate towards hiring only native speakers on English.
